how come you are using it? how come there is so many repeated and meaningless questions about it? how come people who dont have a 1.6 xbox is using this bios instead of the x2 bioses?

Like what problems? There are a few reported on these pages, most of which are self-explanatory (i.e. incorrect sizing for Xecuter chips).
It seems to me to be one of the most stable releases yet, compare with the flood of reported errors when the last batch of X2 bioses were released (4982, not 4983). See how quickly modified versions were available with IGR and LBA48.
See how fast Nghtshd has been making terrific versions of EVtool to customise it.  B)

Excuse me, but when was the last unstable release of an  EvoX BIOS? :D

I didn't use evox m8 I only use x2 4981 & 4983 but I never have any problem with that yet
I asked b/c I see so many question about problem after flash bios with m8 ;)

Although, ironically, I had a bugger of a time with M7! It would freeze when loading some original discs (Halo for example) and sometimes from the HD - of course, there was the possibility of a bad flash etc but the problem was repeatable after reflashing. So I moved to Xecuter bioses, which were fine, but I wanted reset on eject for games which only became available with the bios config that came with 4983 - which wasn't editable in XBtool...sigh. That is why I am so happy to see this bios working so well overall. It does me fine!

I was using x2 4981 when I first modded my xbox.  The IGR was great but then my xbox died.  I can now only boot the xbox with a bios that has an embedded eeprom.  Since embedding my eeprom in the Evo M7 bios.  My xbox has not had one problem.  I would say the Evo M7 bios is very stable.  Looking forward to using M8 when the embed eeprom option apears for it.

Evox M7 is really good but I miss IGR so I'm thinking about going back to an X2, not 4983 though cos I want to edit it. So maybe 4982.

I read somewhere that Evox M8 doesn't support F: or G: but I assume that's bullshit. I'll go have a look for it and test it myself.

You mean 4981 - 4982 is the same as 4983, but didn't work on some Xecuter chips.
If you use EVtool, M8 will have IGR (and a choice of two types!) and LBA 48, with F and G support.

How can I be sure they're the right ones and not the dodgy leaked version?
