M8 & X2 Bios Manager
« on: July 20, 2004, 02:36:00 AM »

Hey,

I created a 256k bios using EVtool but when I'm trying to make a 512k bios (bank1 & 2) using bios manager, it doesn't even load up the bios.

it loads the virgin m8 bios but not any of the lba48/igr patched ones. (I wanna get the patched ones to work)

If anyone knows how to make it work lemme know.

Thanks,
Edirol

Samething here.

Even though i checked the checksum for my new bios in EVTool(tried remove the first 0 too)  and added that to the config/ini-file of X2Bm it didn't load or is it just dont show it.

if you're going to edit the evox bios, use the evotool instead.  evotool 1.0.4 can do what x2bm can.  try to search for the evotool.

Well XBtool can do the same as EVtool, but as i said i used EVtool.
Then when i want to make an dualbios using modified M8 and X2 4983 i cant open the M8 in X2Bm (x2 bios manager, wich a doubt can edit the bios)

Hey Guys,

I've been having the same problem, after I use EVtool my bios manager doesn't see the new bios I created? I have tried adding a new checksum and that doesn't work either!

Any Ideas?

Thanks

I had the same problem (M8 not being loaded in X2BM after patching with LBA and IGR) and the solution to me was to use iXia to flash instead of X2BM.

It's worth a try!

X2BM 2.2 was released with M8 support - are you saying that after its patched it wont load ?

sounds like they have totally fucked with the signatures and its crashing our verification method.
