Update your Motherboards BIOS dude and that should do the trick.  The card you are using is more ahead in technology so you have to bring your board up to speed in order for them to be compatible with each other.

I'm running into the same problem the OP mentioned and I have the latest BIOS for my motherboard.

I'm using a LANPARTY UT NF4 Expert motherboard and it won't recognize the SY-VIA-150.

Has anyone found a solution for this issue?

Does this have something to do with uninstalling the IDE SW drivers?
