My Pc Keeps Telling Me "no Drive Detected"
« on: June 26, 2007, 01:22:00 PM »

Trying to flash my new MS25 with a spoofed firmware from my orig. Hitachi 0047

This is my setup;

HP DC 7700 Small form factor pc
- ICH8 Chipset
- Usb key with MTKFlash (read on the internet no special hex edited MTKflash was needed for ICH8)
- Spoofed firmware on USB Key
- Team Xecuter Connectivity Kit 1
- Power for the drive comes from another pc (i dont have the old molex connector)

I dumped the Hitachi firmware without any problems, done in a few seconds.
Spoofed firmware with iPrep.

Put everything on an usb stick, loaded MTKFlash as normal & when i write down the command
mtkflash w /m /sata replaced.bin

i get this message direct, without any delay.

"no drives detected"

I only got my drive connected to sata, nothing else.
Sata is in IDE mode.
Can someone tell me what im doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
