Yes theres nothing to stop him, But be aware MS doesnt know what drives the clone so you could both end up getting banned. They will just see the same hdd online at the same time with 2 diff consoles so they will ban both.

Thats not to say its a guarantee to get banned hardly any ones been banned and there has to be 1000s of people using the same hddss.bin

Best to only get the hddss off your own 120gb hdd or from the usual places.
So only you get banned your self.

Most likely a account ban for reason: Modified/Conned HDD.

But wouldn't put it past MS to ban console aswell.
