Windows / Linux For Xbox

Ok, The low down is this.

i have a unmodified xbox and i have taken the hdd out...

i would like to install linux or windows on it using my pc, like put the hard drive in. so i dont have to do all the hacks that is installing the other ways.

is this possible, and how do i do it..

It's pretty much impossible to hook up your XBox HD to your PC, simply because it's formatted differently.  Your computer will detect it, but Windows will not.  In order for Windows to even detect it, you would have to reformat the HD, and then you have where if you put it in your XBox reformatted, it won't work because it's reformatted.  So in other words, no, you can't do it without a modded xbox... you might be able to "softmod" your XBox(modding it without a mod chip) and do it that way, but I'm not sure, considering I've never softmodded before.  Hope this helps. <
