Pc Freezes 360 Doesnt Slaxx

I recently was reading up on all of the 360 mods going around. I opened up my 360 and connected the proper cables. Hooked it up to my pc, i got the 360 to show up on my pc but shortly after my pc froze as i tryed to look at something in mycomputer. It seems the dvd drive is making my pc freeze up to were i need to reboot to do anything and the 360 dvd drive locks up too makingit imposible to eject. The 360 works still thou with both locked up just doesnt eject the tray.

MSI KN8 NEO PLATINUM  is my motherboard can anyone give me any tips or hints on what my issue is?
