Restored Hdd Image In Xplorer360 To Different Drive
« on: June 15, 2006, 06:32:00 PM »

I made, what I now realize to be a pretty big mistake.  I backed up my hard drive image in Xplorer360 before I returned my broken Xbox 360, then tried to restore the image to the new hard drive.
Now the Xbox 360 no longer recognizes the drive, I believe because of the identification hash.  How can I fix this? Do I have any options or is the hard drive toast?

Thanks for any help.

The newest version of Xplorer360 gets around this problem by ignoring the hashed sectors.

Sorry, but I'm new to the whole 360 HDD to PC thing. But does this mean with the latest Xplorer360 version, I can just make a backup image of my 360 HDD with an xsata and when I get a new 360 w/ a new HDD I can just restore it and it will work ok? Thanks in advance.
