I just recently installed XP on a NEW hdd and am having problems flashing all Hitachi Drives. All other drives flash fine. Samsung/Benq/Liteon.
I have another OS installed on my old HDD and that flashes hitachi's just fine. Same Motherboard. Using onboard VIA to flash hitachi. VIA card for all others.

So this is what happens.
JF starts up fine. I scroll to the Hitachi Port. Hitachi dirve shows up just fine. Open up drive tray. But when I hit Send Mode-B the button stays depressed and jungleflasher locks up. Then a few seconds later windows freezes up.
Why is this happening? I tried a fresh OS install and still the same thing.

So for now I am switching back and forth between HDD's to flash Hitachi drives.


*reason I need the new drive is because my old Raptor has become unstable and crashed every now and then. So I am taking huge risks when flashing using the bad hdd.
