Hitachi 59, Keep Flashing To Stock Fw With Jungleflasher
« on: September 07, 2009, 08:22:00 AM »

my old dvd driver broke on my xbox 360 so i bought new one.
i have been trying to flash it to ixtreme 1.51 for hours but it keeps flashing to stock
fw no matter what i do. i am using jungleflasher 1.51(tried 1.55 too).
i have connectibility kit v3 and hook driver via sata cable to my motherboard.
it detects hitachi driver and i installed port i/o manually on windows xp.
i found right port for hitachi driver and sent mode B and succeeded.
then i flashed it ixtreme but it keep flashing it to original stock file only.
yes, i did put orig59.bin and ix151-59.bin in firmware folder. i did multiple times,
tried everything but no matter what i do, it only flashes to stock fw and it only reads
original disc. i followed this video on youtube. what am i doing wrong?

First thing you need to do is to download the latest version of Jungleflasher 1.66 and the last PDF guide they produced 1.59, both of these can be downloaded direct from the Jungleflasher web site at http://www.jungleflasher.net/     If you are still having trouble a step by step guide of what you did and any messages you got would be helpfull. Plus the op system you are using and Sata chipset.

i will try lastest one when i get home but i did exact same as it showed on video and i didn't get any error messages. all the messages looked same except mine only flashes to stock fw. i restore to original firmware and dumped fw to check, it's stock. and then i flash to ixtreme, and dump fw to check, it's still
stock. i wonder why.. i flashed my old sammy driver no problem with this chipset except i used dosflash
for it. too bad, dosflash don't read hitachi driver somehow. it ask me to turn power off to send signal but
unlikely sammy driver it just gets stuck and can't read the drive.
