so i've done plenty of the older liteons without problems but i'm kinda facing a problem now

using JF .65 beta on a palit n73pv and 360xtractor, disabled all physical/virtual drives for safe measure

i tried using JF directly. i manage to get to the first "open tray to half position" prompt which is fine. click ok, get the next "open to full" prompt and i also do that. get the string in the debug window at the bottom and then an error pops up, about inquiry returning invalid error or something ?

tried the same thing with LO83 in cmd prompt, got the string that i'm supposed to get, followed by this output

No Error

No Error

and i'd be left with a .bin file with weird symbols as the file name. tried using that with openkey 0.2 but an error pops up saying that it can't find the key or something ?

any ideas what i'm doing wrong here ? i've used this computer to flash every drive in the market and now that this has finally started showing up, i'm kinda stumped

i'm currently using 0.1.65 Beta which is the latest version according to xbins

unless there's something newer out ?

Your xbins info is wrong, xbins is updated with 1.66

Hey can someone give me a more detailed guide to doing this half open tray trick....

I poweroff holding the tray open, then I push it half way and turn the xbox back on holding the tray in that position until its done trying to suck it back in. Then the 360 light blinks (is that correct so far?)

then I click OK in Jungle Flasher, it says open tray to full position.....Now this part ive done this 2 diff ways. Ive just physicaly opened the tray back with my hand and then it the OK button in Jungle Flasher but LO83info extraction Failed!

Ive also tried closing it back using the eject button and then ejecting it again and hitting OK but still a bunch of zeros and LO83info extraction Failed!

So how exactly do i do this, please someone with a more detailed explanation (using the xbox360 to power it on and off if that makes a difference)

Cut the power to the drive while it's open.  While the drive is off, shut the drive half way.  Power the drive on.

I don't use the 360 for power but I think if you turn the system off with the tray open, the tray closes before it turns off.  That may be your problem.  Pull the power cable from the back of your drive to cut power to it.
