I tried flashing my LiteOn, but the drive got screwed up when trying the tray half way open trick by unplugging the power cord, it's no longer recognized by the xbox (flashing green light and status opening/closing without anything happening).

I've previously read that my xbox can now be considered a door stop, but I've also read that there are ways to save the darn thing.

Can someone point me in the right direction, where I can find updated info on:
-What hardware do I need (USBExtractor etc)?
-Where can I find an easy to follow tutorial on how to extract my CPU key?

hi everyone, hopefully someone can help me with my problem. i successfully extracted my drive key (i hope) and was doing the MTK Flash 32 bit. I sent the erase command but I think i pulled out the power too soon or at the wrong time. What I've got now is that the drive is in vendor mode but i don't have any Flash Chip Properties (Vendor ID: 0x0, Device ID: 0x0, Name: Unknown type, Size: n/a, Type: (blank). What should I do now? my 360 light is constantly blinking and thinking i'm trying to open the drive. the eject button doesn't work either. i'm a little freaked. i'm going to do some more searching on the forums (read something about dosflash) but i'd appreciate any help. THanks.

sorry, forgot to mention. i've got lite-on 83850c hopefully the first wave. like i said, i was able to dump the key which leads me to believe i can still load ix1.6 evntually. thanks again.

thanks for replying. turns out all i had to do was put the drive back into the "normal" mode (not vendor), then re-send the erase and intro. after that it captured flash information fine and i was off to the races. I think when i screwed it up i just pulled the power plug too early. thanks.

make a usb drive with dosflash, works great, only issue here is that you problably have first to use MRA hack in order to unlock your drive. Your lite on is from wich manufacturer? Philips?

or fix the problem that made your pc crash.  remove your via driver the way the jungle flasher tutorial says to.

Is there anyway to visually tell if I have a V1 or V2 83850c?

I don't have the manufacturer's date 'cause they were gutswapped.

Hello,

I am sorry for being the noob over here. I ve flashed 50 drives, but never one of these new ones. I am using the LT Switch. The LEDs report green/red as normal. However, when I start JungleFlasher or DosFlash32 my PC freezes. Ive disabled my 6421 card, deleted viamraid.sys, and enabled the card again. No go, it freezes.
What can be wrong, and where do I go from here?

thanks

Edit: Tried using dosflash in dos. It stops after identifying the drive (port, identity..), and just stands still without any reaction. I am still clueless.
