@ junior2k8

If you can still edit that post do it quick. Xbox-scene has ZERO tolerance for what you are suggesting.

I have extracted the firmware correctly...I have the dummy.bin key...I have spoofed the ix16-liteon838.bin firmware with the key...flashed it using dosflash, and all the banks came back correctly. But, when I go to play a game, (ones that work on my other modded 360), it comes up with that play dvd thingy, saying that this is not an xbox game. I used jungle flasher 1.67 to get the key, following the tut.

What am I doing wrong?

here is a picture of jungle flasher, if that helps:

Yes, this will check if your key is correct.

The date on the drive is July 2009...could it be one of the undumpable ones?

83850c Aug 2009

I used Jungle flasher 1.67 and read and extracted the Firmware..

I spoofed it and burnt it back on to the drive when I put the drive back into the xbox it is not reading games Back up or original.

On the first flash I was getting a e66 error and one red light. Then I re applied the firmware and got the not reading discs

This is a new MW2 xbox 83850c aug 2009 drive.

Looks like I am in the same situation as Gnarkilljboy.. I have a BenQ drive spare.. Should I try using that for the time being. ??

I can't find the right answers Help Please > .. <

I picked up a MW2 Super Elite yesterday and decided to crack it open today,

It has a MFR date on the box of 2009-09-08 and luckily has a Lite-On August 83850C drive so I knew I had a chance of flashing it.

Followed the guide and used the latest version of Jungleflasher (0.1.67), everything went fine until I clicked write when JF decided to stop responding.

I have expierenced this many times when erasing the firmware but never flashing, never the less I rebooted my computer and created a dosflash memory stick. Booted into dosflash and did the usual l-o-erase until I got status FF72 then used dosflash to write the drive.

All is working fine although I am not going to try this drive onto xbox live just yet until the new firmware comes out as I have heard rumours that this firmware can cause you to get flagged for a ban.

I did the same thing with my july 09 lite on drive...flashed it 3 or 4 times with dosflash, and it still won't play the back ups.

Flashing Lite-On 83850C with the XBox as Power Source (on JungleFlasher 0.1.67b)

Hello everyone!

I am having a lot of trouble extracting the key using the XBox to power the drive.

I followed http://jungleflasher.net/files/JungleFlasher.pdf manual precisely.

- My drive is the Lite-On 83850c with MFR Date June 09 (so it's all good)
- I disassemble the XBox, unplug the SATA cable from the drive and plug the drive to my computer (VIA SATA VT6421A Card). I keep the power cable connected to the drive since I am using the XBox as psu.
- Before running JungleFlasher 0.1.67b, I turn on the XBox.
- I select DVDKey32 Tab, and find the port for the Lite-On drive (I did not install any drivers for the VIA SATA Card, I just installed PortIO to be able to find the SATA port on which the drive is connected)
- I press LO83info and the message "Power on drive with tray half open" pops up. So I press eject once to open the tray. I press eject a second time to close the tray, however, half way when closing I pull out the power cable from the drive; this way the tray is not entirely closed (I make sure it is half way closed though). I wait 5 seconds, and replug the power cable. Then press OK to the pop-up message from LO83info.
Then I see the message "Sending LO83info request to I/O port 0xCF00"
But the progress only shows 2 dots ".." and hangs there. It never goes all the way thru.

Note: I noticed that when ejecting the tray (Opening/Closing) the Power LED of the XBox blinks. When the tray is completely Open/Closed the Power LED stops blinking and is constantly on. When I do the trick of half open tray by pulling out the power cable when the tray is closing, the XBox remains in the blinking state. Is it supposed to be blinking when half open? My understanding is the purpose of the trick is to make the console think that the tray of the drive is closed, however, since it is blinking, the console is most likely thinking that the tray is "closing" not "closed"; even after plugging back the power cable, the power LED remains in the blinking state.

Does any experienced person know why this is happening?
I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks!

Have you configugred the IO port? Check that the sata port you're using is correct. If you go to the DVD2key tab, you can see there your model and the port which is yousing.
