alright everything thing seems fine in my spoof, flashed it on my benq and it works fine no e66 or nothing.

but is it normal for there to be 00000's and FFFF's in the drive serial part of the spoofed fw ?

if not how do i fix it ?

Try going to manual spoofing and entering your serial info.
Also I wouldnt play on xbox live with your drive like that. That it works fine the key must be correct so just flash your 83850c drive now.

where do i get the serial info from ?   i have i dummy.bin i created from a .key file which it does contain the serial info when i check under the tab, but then when i spoof it, it only shows the fff and 000 in the benq spoofed fw.

what gives ?

all i got when i did extract 83 was the inquary.bin and the barcode.bin, which i then got the key from and then just used that and the inq.bin in the manual spoof.

in maual spoofing it only has a place for key.bin and ing.bin

inquary.bin has the serial info in it.

Should say something like

"D608CG833907010F0   "
yes its ment to have 2 empty spaces at the end.

i did that, could my liteon inq.bin be bad  ?

the inquary same as the barcode number right ? on the liteon drive.


if so when i load the inq.bin in maual spoofing it shows "D608CG833907010F0   " which looks right ?

but then it still shows the fff's in the drive serial of the benq spoofed fw when i press ok.


something has to be wrong here.


i do need the serial from the liteon right ?   i don't use the benqs serial in the spoofed fw ? i don't think so that can't be it, i dunno.


this is getting confusing, i mean the fw works and the drive plays games fine but the serial does show fff's and 000's.

Just flash your original drive that you know the key works.
Thats the safest thing to do.

i really won't be going on live, so i guess it isn't an issue, and i'm not keeping the liteon so that won't work.

but if it is wrong, why won't the serial info copy over to the benq fw properly ?

i notice when i make the fw for the liteon directly it does copy the serial info correctly, but not for the benq it's different and mainly all fff's and 000's.

i know the drives are different, does it copy over for everyone elses liteon to benq spoofs ?  hmm.

i want to understand this, if i can, don't make sense if it won't work for me unless something is wrong (like what i'm doing or my files ect.)

There was talk awhile ago about using different drives and if it was safe.
The conclusion came to hitachi and samsung drives can be replace with any drive.
But benq and liteons can only be replaced with each other due to inquiry and serial info being check on xbox live.

But I dont believe any one has been banned for that. There hasnt been a ban wave in ages.
I just checked on mine computer with jungleflasher 1.65 and it also only has the
"Wisely Loves Lan" in the serial when you use benQ target firmware and liteon dummy.

But if I use a benQ dump and spoof it, it inserts the serial info from the benQ dump.

Maybe a bug in jungle flasher, Or could be that way intentionally.

Heres what I tryed.
Loading up benQ orignal dump then benQ cfw. Spoof source as target it changes.
Load dummy from liteon and click spoof source as target it still stays the same as what the orignal benq dump changed it too.

Will have to wait for some one from jungle flasher to read this and say its its right or wrong.

ok i see what u did, so basically this gives you a benq spoofed as a liteon, but with benq serial info ? or so it seems.

hopefully we can all get to the bottom of this, and if/or it could cause a flag to be banned if it's not right.

Has there been a conclusion to this yet? I aswell will want to be spoofing a benQ with liteon 83850c f/w and would like to know if its safe for live.
