Can Somebody Please Help Me (i'm Starting To Worry)
« on: August 08, 2009, 02:34:00 AM »

Please help me somebody!

I'm using the via 6142 card on xp sp3 and have the 83850c. I have extracted my key from my drive multiple times and got the same key every time using both the Create 83 Extract function in JF and the LO83info_32 (its the real key with the 2007 Mackay dedication, not the 'broken' one). I manually injected the key into the ixtreme 83850c firmware, set the serial barcode to the same as my drive (incl. the 3 spaces at the end) and then made sure to highlight Liteon 83850c in the drop down box.

I then proceeded to flash my drive and this is where I ran into problems. I went to MTKflash and clicked the Lite-on Erase. It came up with a warning saying the serials don't match and asked if I wanted to proceed. I said "yes". It then told me to make sure I had the keys. I then proceeded to erase. It did it's thing and then said at the "Device Intro Failed."

So I put dosflash, l-o-eras and my saved ixtreme 1.6 83850c (with injected key) on a bootable floppy and boot from it. I ran l-o-eras and got status FF80. Then power cycled the drive and got status FF72. Then ran dosflash, selected my drive and told it to write (W) my cfw (Lite_CFW.bin). It erased the drive and wrote all 4 banks successfully and return the data checksum of 6D53 (might've been slightly different to that but VERY similar).

Thinking all was well, I connected the 360 to a TV and turned it and the machine gives me a black screen, no audio and 1 Red light.

So I connected it to the computer again and Jungleflasher sees it but the MTK Vendor and info shows random letters and symbols - nothing legible. And so now I'm stuck and don't know what to do. Can anyone PLEASE HELP ME!!!

What version jungle flasher?
Open the custom firmware and check what it says could just be the random jungle flasher bug. Some times for me it gives a random spoof. like the liteon drives spoofed as something else some times it randomly calls them lbbs then I just have to re open the custom firmware and change the spoof again.

Jungleflasher 1.65 Beta. Also, if it is the bug, is the bug known to cause 1 Red light errors?

Update: I loaded the lite_cfw.bin into JF and took a look at it. The DVD Key is the real key that I successfully pulled off the drive when it was working. In the Inquiry, Identify and Drive Serial tabs I can see the following string "D609CG921816004P9". This looks like, to me, a drive serial but IT IS NOT my drive serial. In fact, I can't see my drive serial in any of those tabs. I would also like to point out that when I click on "Manual Spoofing", the "Lite-On Barcode" keeps on defaulting to "D608CG833907010F0". This occurs even after I select the Lite-On 83850c OSIG, click OK, Save to File and then re-open in JF.

Update:

When I use LO83info_32 on my drive now, this is what I get:

You're right. I apologise for not mentioning which Freekey version I used. I used Freekey 1.1 and used it with my D609xxxxx.bin file to generate the key. I then manually spoofed ixt-83850c.bin with the key generated from freekey, as well as the barcode (which, incidentally, is the same as the name of the D609xxxx.bin file) and saved it as Lite_CFW.bin.
