Liteon Board, Resistors Gone...
« on: August 05, 2009, 01:57:00 PM »

Hi Everybody,

As I was extracting the dvdkey from my liteon drive I accidentally overheated/removed the two jumpers/solder pads for TxD and RxD that needed to be joined, as you can see in the following picture in red:

(IMG:http://beta.ivancover.com.nyud.net:8080/wiki/images/thumb/9/9d/Xbox_360_lite-on_serial_adapter_points.jpg/300px-Xbox_360_lite-on_serial_adapter_points.jpg)

The question is, are those tracks really important? Can I use my drive as it is now, or I won't be able to?

I hope someone knows the answer, thanks in advance!

Rolo

If its for use in your other thread, you neednt worry.

If R709/710 resistors are gone, you'll need to replace those.
