Did you send the outro command to it?  It will not eject in vender mode.

Status in JF lists all drive specific info, drive is not listed as vendor mode.

Drive outdo command was also sent, to no avail. Gonna try flashing in dos today but don't see it making a difference since the flash in windows was successful.

Won't those drives come out of vendor mode when power cycled?

Ok just tried to flash in dos several times, same problem with the disc drive not spinning up and not ejecting as before in windows. Im out of ideas to try.

Its obviously not a firmware issue, as ive tried multiple times to flash multiple firmware, 1.51, 1.6 repack, in windows and dos, i have a valid matching key, inquiry, identify, and dummy.bin i used to make the firmware.

It has to be something wrong with the drive.

What i am still trying to figure out is what i did to cause this, i followed all flashing tutorials to a t, dos and windows?

I need to figure out what caused this so i can find a replacement drive and not fuck this one up as well. Thanks for all replies.

Yea thats the only thing i can think of, sucks my balls. This is a friends xbox i was flashing him for free. Now im am obligated to get a working drive in there. Gonna try and spoof my working benq as a liteon with his key information.

Does that sound like a good solution?? I know there are a lot more experienced flashers than me out there

OK just did a test that changes everything. Took the non ejecting liteon, swapped into a different 360. It now ejects and spins up perfectly.

This leads me to believe that when i removed the eject pin on the power supply for reading the key something is wrong now. The pin still slides in and out of the connector freely when unplugged, but when i slide in the eject pin and plug connector into dvd drive it has a secure connection to the drive and the mb.

IM gonna try switching power connectors from my box to the lite box and hook the drive up to see if i fucked up the dvd power supply cable when removing the eject pin. Dont see how but whatever.

Thoughts ?

Edit: I switched my working power cable into the liteon box, still a no go.

So the problem is obviously not the power cable, not the lite on, as it works fine in my personal xbox. So that would only leave the xbox that the lite on came out of itself.

Now im really fuckin confused, where do i go from here to figure out why the board will is not communicating with the dvd drive, wont eject, spin up. And when i press eject the green light only blinks once!! Not flashing blinks like a functioning xbox does.

single blinking light means drive is not getting power, which means you damaged something on the mainboard, check all the pins on the MB and see what power you have compared to your other console that is working, (DC voltage) then trace back from there to see what component blew.

Just from using  the xbox 360 as the power source for the drive shouldnt cause any mishaps like this should it?

Reason asking, is that i got a hold of a new board and lite on, and the only way to get power to the drives is the 360 power supply i have, dont have an adapter yet, one is on the way.

Is it safe to flash any more liteons using the 360 as the power source for the dvd drive?

I flashed my benq this way with no problems, didnt know if the lite ons were different, they arent to the best of my knowledge.

Thanks for the replies man, sounds like you know your shit.

I remember reading various posts suggesting that using the console to power the drive would cause things like this (a friend of mine fried hi PC mboard, we assume it was due to this).

Before getting the xtractor I used to rest the console on the case of the PC so that the metal was touching..

You could also use regular copper wire and make sure one end touches the metal from the console and the other touches the case of the PC.

Everything i did last time as far as steps i took to get key, erase, flash were all the same. This time everything works when im done. Dont know what happend .
