Jungle Flasher Liteon Ck3 With Probe Problem

my set up is as follows ck3 pro with probe, sata card with correct via chipset, external molex power supply to ck3.
Right this is my problem i set up a lite on drive using above set up and begin flashing, will extract key perfectly not a problem and flash perfect. everything goes normal. The problem is when i rebuild the xbox and switch it on the drive functions as far as opening ad closeing.
The laser seems although it has been killed it wont spin up and read a disk original or other wise. this is a problem i had with 4 or 5 drives being killed. ive brought a new ck3 pro tryed it with usb and serial 32 ports. brought a new sata card to eliminate that. the only thing i can think off is the external power supply being the problem. anybody got any ideas????

The laser is fried, replace it.

its not so much the laser being fried i know this its whats causing it to fry
