If the guys running that site have found a method, it's only a matter of time before it gets released to the public somehow.
No one is going to jail for life releasing drive firmware and hacks, look Iriez, your not in jail are you? Sure I don't know exactly how it's done ( :-/ ) but games get ripped every day and no ones going to jail, just an example.
I urge people to wait a while and NOT pay a cent to foundmy.com.
First, you'll be waiting a very long time. Forever, likely.
Second, are you a lawyer? I know a few guys who have consulted with theirs. The implications of legal prosecution is not a small matter.
However, your just a end user of this scene. You are not involved. You do not have the experience or background that I do. Your friends have not been raided by the FBI, had their shops pulled down. You've not seen people go to prison. No, not JAIL. PRISON.
I have.
So please understand and take this with the best intentions: You are ignorant.
Of course im not in jail. I've done nothing wrong. Im simply the person who communicates. If others work is illegal then that is a risk they run. Its part of this industry. There are just lines that sometimes you dont want to cross, because crossing them WILL bring down the law ontop of your head.

People pay apple a premium for their product, people pay premium for dell service, so why not pay a premium for this?
Either way I have a question. OK lets say i do this, what would i do with the key?
1.) How would i go about spoofing?
2.) Even with the key wouldn't the current jungleflasher just leave the firmware version as 7XXXX lite-on instead of the new 8XXXX?
3.) Having the key is good but what is there to do with the key if none of the tools out there can truly replicate the new drive?
4.) Is there any new commands or anything besides the key changes in this new firmware?
These are the questions I pose and should be the real questions being asked not complaints about a price. Weather or not a person/company are jerks is irrelevant. Other questions that should be posed: How are they doing it, and why can we not replicate this process?
You do not want to spoof 8x to 7x. It is not considered safe at this moment.
Corrrect.
Spoof to a older drive is the only option
No.
Until ix is released (soon) there wont be any reason other than to get ready to mod!

It's not the same. I charge people for the complete works. I take their xbox apart, flash the drive, put it back together and show it works. I tell them how to back up their own games and even give them a free verbatim to test it at home. And, if I screw something up in the process, I'll be the one paying for a new xbox.
What foundmy does is expecting you to still do all of the above, but send a piece of the dumped firmware to them, you pay them and they send you back the key, so you can still go about the process of spoofing another drive.
Now, if foundmy released an application and sold that for.. I don't know 89usd or something, I could live with that. It would be a onetime investment. But paying 42usd for a key on a modjob I charge 30usd for ? No thank you.
No, it is the same.
You are offering a service for a set price. He is offering a service for a set price. The details do not matter.
Its been explained roughly 12 thousand times now why there will not be a software method released. Read the thread.

Most likely he got a piece of leaked software from THX or something of that nature. He is making money off other peoples work.
No, he did not.
