Lite-on Erase Gives Back N/a Flash Size... What's The Problem?
« on: February 03, 2020, 06:46:00 PM »

This is what I get back when I attempt a lite-on erase:

CODE

Sending Lite-On-Erase request to port 0xCCF8
..............
Drive returned Status 0x72
Manufacturer ID: 0x0
Device ID: 0x0
Flash Name:  Unknown type
Flash Size:  n/a

What's the problem here?

edit: crap... I think I might have just plugged it in backwards, but I have no idea how I would have. I didn't let go of it once when I unplugged it and made sure I didn't turn my hand or anything. How do I tell if it's plugged in the right direction?

Ok I don't think it was in backwards at all at any point, but now it's not detecting my drive after the erase... Is this bad? Lemme guess... I wasn't supposed to restart my computer after erasing it, and now nothing will detect it or something stupid. I don't honestly know if the erase even worked, though.

What's going on here? I have a replacement for it if I messed it up, but hopefully I didn't.

make a dos disk, floppy/usb then stick dosflash on it and the custom firmware you made with jungle flasher.
Then boot to it by restarting your computer, And erase again then write.

get dosflash from xbins.

This happens for other reasons, he may have followed the steps correctly; however a hardware problem. Unless your talking about the troubleshooting.pdf

Anyhow,
Your going to need dosflash: http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/Ek...FEujcvdWMYE.php

Make a DOS usb key. Place '16/dosflash.exe' or something like that onto it.

Remove all devices apart from XBOX drive.

Type dosflash
One will say MTK vendor into failed. Select that one.
Send 'liton e'
powercycle
dosflash select device.
w
cfw.bin
powercycle.

hope that helps

your're almost there! All you have to do is power cycle the drive after it reports the wrong flash size. then run dosflash again
