This seems like this could be the easiest drive to hack. It seems with a little data from the drive the rest of the keys can be found by performing a math problem. For all we know the BIN file they ask for could hold the key but require a program like poweriso to break it apart. I believe these drivers will be easier or at the same level as the hitachi drivers when it comes to hacking them. We just need the software that the teams using the make the key from the bin file.

So you can dump the new liteon fw with the program "lo83"and must send the file you receive to the site so it send you back the unscabled original new liteon firmware.

Isn't there any programm that we can descarbled new liteon drives without send it to the site and pay 42 dollars.

No. Someone has to make it. As suggested in the other thread hopefully someone will send in the dumped firmware to foundmy and when they receive the key, they can compare it with the dumped firmware to try to figure out the decrypting algorithm

Well its pretty much a message being sent right at MS stating "look we hacked the new 360 drive already, and the public can now get their hands on it". They also have credibility to back it up, in other words MS already knows there new drivers are already hacked and available.

Depends where you are. In the US, both are illegal. According to the DMCA, doing anything to defeat security/encryption/whatever is illegal. The firmware defeats the security of the system only playing official discs, and the method for getting the key defeats the encryption (or whatever) keeping the key secure.

AFAIK, most countries don't have quite such draconian laws; if you own the device then you can change the device as you see fit.
