Jungleflasher Froze At Writing Bank 2
« on: June 26, 2009, 08:29:00 AM »

I was flashing a LiteOn drive for the 1st time and everything was going well. I used the probe to get all the files and saved them. After the erase jungleflasher froze at writing bank 2 so after 5 mins i closed it down. The drive does not eject and is not detected in jungleflasher now.

So what do i do know?

And i am using 32bit windows XP, VIA 6421 card and CK3 with the usb.

I'm not 100% sure if this will fix it or not, but as long as you have all the original files I would try using LiteOn Erase (outside of JungleFlasher). I think that even if the drive isn't detected, as long as you know what port you have it plugged into you should be able to send the erase command to that port and hopefully it will work.

I've never actually used the Erase function outside of JF, but I believe that it is quite easy and all you have to do is type "L-O Erase XXXX" or something like that, with XXXX being the port your drive is plugged into. It shouldn't be hard at all to find a tutorial for that on here.

After that I would just try flashing again, and if it doesn't work I would come back and post again to see if anyone else might be able to help. I doubt that it would fail twice in a row, though.

I can confirm.  Go into dos and use the L-O-ERAS program.  If you get status ff80 then keep doing it until you get ff72, it make take a few tries.  After you've done that, power cycle the drive and it's ready for flashing.
