hi everyones ,

my old october 2005 console is dead. so i bought a new console .

the lite -on dg-16d2s of course . i just received my maximus xtractor and ready to roll.

i have a via sata vt6421 card (that i have use for many others console in the past)

so i remove via driver , install PortIO32.exe and all win xp updates.

plug sata cable to pc
plug power cord from pc to xtractor
plug cable drive to xtractor

ON the xtractor and after 5 sec. my pc freeze . im able to open and close drive and that's all ,need to restart.

even with my old gdr3120 the problem is the same.

anyone have an idea what's going on??

sata setup as raid on bios .

don't get it , out of ideas. xtractor disfunction??

only need net framework 2.0 for xp i would uninstall the 3 and 3.5 if it installed and temporay turn off windows updates
u have followed the tut in the appendix on disabling the card and removing driver and then reneabling the card again
being a maximus xtractor u have installed the drivers for this

THX FOR THE QUICK REPLY HARDIE

i remove net framework 30 and 3.5

uninstall via sata card
reinstall card and via raid driver
disable the card
delete viamraid.sys from windows/system32/drivers
unable the card again ( yellow exclamation appeared)

portIO32 is install and jungleflasher showing portIO32 install and running

reboot

turn on xtractor and freeze again

even if i try onboard sata it freeze .

damn im lost

any others ideas

u have the xtractor drivers installed?
if so try this link its uniatadrivers to replace your via card drivers
download the BusMaster_v39d.rar fow windows xp
http://alter.org.ua/en/soft/win/uni_ata/uni_ata.php#inst_xp and install should be no need to disable card

is your port properties showing and are u selecting right port and you have ticked the usb xtractor box in dvdkey32 because i believe you are using usb cable or are u using comm/serial cable

after uninstalling all proggie and re-install them ,

i got it to work ,

don't know what happened but anyway my 2 drives are flashwed.
