looks like your friends drive has been flashed before, so dont use any buttons under 360 tools , to be honest I never use them.click intro/device id then jack power out then back in on the drive very quickly this will now put drive in vendor mode, then you can read and flash.

Yeah I flashed his drive to 1.5 or it could have been 1.51. But my Elite had 1.4 on it and it flashed doing exactly what is in the youtube vid and it worked without problem.

With Jungle Flasher it locked the computer (including the mouse) up when I turn the drive back on. With DosFlash32 it freezes the app on "Reading Bank 0".

Try disabling your raid drivers, you can find out how to do it in the back of the JungleFlasher manual. Works for me. No more lockups.

Thanks! it worked. It was 1.5 that was already installed on it. Still don't understand why it worked on my elite but I had to uninstall the via drivers for his premium.

On my PC I have to enable the Via file in Windows\system32\drivers for a Hitachi drive. For all other drives I have to disable the driver. If it is disabled with a Hitachi drive, my PC won't recognize the drive. If it is enabled with any other drive it freezes up.
