A regular one will suffice... it's just a DVD-Video.

To those with the same old questions about Liteon's - YOU STILL NEED THE SPEAR!  Or a home made one.  This new firmware allows you to dump it easier, but how are you going to put this new firmware on there in the first place?  Have to get your key, insert key and spoof info into new firmware, then flash it.

I don't know why everyone always thinks "ohh now we don't need spears!".  Make one yourself, they are super cheap to make.

There is no way to "fix" and MD5, MD5 is a hash checking method that allows you to compare two files to see if they are or are not the same.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MD5   Obviously something is wrong the liteon firmware, wrong file got released somehow.  As always, it will be ready when it is ready.
