You did not transfer the key correctly to the new firmware that you flashed. I hope you backed it up!

you have not spoofed the firmware to target when creating your custom fw in Jungle Flasher.
at the moment it looks like you don't have the correct DVD drive key in the iXtreme fw.
you need to 'Spoof to Target' when in Jungle Flasher so that your unique DVD Drive key is added to the iXtreme 1.6 firmware.

i messed up a flash badly and now dvd drive has the wrong key just like harry posted...is the drive bricked without a backup of the previous fw?

If you don't have a firmware backup your xbox is toast.

Flashed using Windows 7 32Bit and Jungleflasher, flashed a couple of Lite-Ons which where already flashed with 1.51, all working well and playing backups and original

I found that on my liteon that there is writing all over my drive serials sticker when I attempt rebuild the dummy. Can I extract them from my dump? or at least verify them in some way?

Assuming that I manage to rebuild the dummy, is dosflash a must or can jf be used?

I just want to jump in with the claim that the thrashing and drive activity seems less for my onthis version as well.
Using the BenQ drive.
All games play fine all the way through and no errors with burns.
The last firmware seemed to work the drive harder.
Maybe not.  I am dumb, so I could be wrong.

Hi,
I have super weird issue, i just updated my Liteon from 1.5 to 1.6.
I erased the drive, couple of times i even had some bad flash and it frozen.
Anyway, al good now and i flashed with 1.6 BUT it wont run ANY wave 3 games.
I tested 4 wave3 games and i just see 'Play DVD' screen.

I will test with activate.iso to see if it helps (i have to burn it as any xbox 360 dvd to dual layer with layer break?)

Any ideas how its even possible?

Turns out I had to uninstall and re install my driver for the Benq drive then enable my dvd writer in hardware then tried with Jungle Flasher and it worked like a charm

old games work fine

Let's not forget the reason they're being so strict about staying with the 12x drive speed.  C4eva has said they believe drive speed was one of the factors used by M$ in previous ban waves.  That's why all new f/w will use 12x drive speed - to eliminate that risk.

Because of this info, I wouldn't recommend anyone change the drive speed and just leave it at the standard 12x speed.  There's no sense in needlessly putting yourself at even more risk of getting banned!

You probably have the beta/not working Liteon 1.6 that was released for a few hours. Make sure you have the liteon 1.6 firmware that has repack in the filename.
