Hi
a friend of mine tried to update his firmware to 1.51 using i prep on his benq drive
after updating he got the e66 error so asked me to have a look at it
I have tried spoofing the drive to both ver of benq firmware with the same outcome i have even aquired original benq firmwares and tried both of them with correct keys and still e66 error although when drive is unplugged xbox loads fine
most people suggest spoofing but i have tried and tried and tried with no progress and ideas would be greatly appreciated

when he tried to flash with new ixtreme did he take a dump of the firmware in iprep first
if so open up in jf and take a look to see if the firmware was already spoofed
its possible it was already spoofed and you probably just tried to flash ixtreme benq firmware to the drive

Heres the funny thing i told him to bring the usb pen he used in iprep so i could get both the hacked and original firmware
But when i open the firmwares in jungle flasher they all say they are ixtreme 1.51 now how can this be

i dont know what he has done he flashed someone elses benq himself and it worked fine but this one is an elite and i wonder if he has somehow flashed someone else's dvd key and overwrite his own in which case his xbox is goosed

thanks for responce but if it was spoofed already then why did original firmware not work i tried both benq ver themselfs then both spoofed as the other still no joy could a wrong dvd key cause this

well with out knowing if he has his orig dvd key its pretty hopeless
so when you open his files up in jf off his usb none of them say spoofed as blah blah drive?
if not then nothing to worry about

turns out his original drive was a lite-on he just never told me and seen as all the firmwares he gave me from his failed iprep were all benq i had no idea spoofed as lite-on and works fine
