Benq Flash On Xp 64
« on: February 03, 2020, 03:11:00 AM »

Hello all.

I have successfully flashed two hitachi drives, but I'm having a hell of a time with this benq.

I'm using windows x64, but starting windows with the drive plugged into the sata port, my system halts at the Windows X64 screen, or takes forever to load windows.  DosFlash32, Jungle Flasher all run under x64, but I can't get DosFlash to recognize the drive.  I've powered it on and off multiple times.  Here is a screen shot of my devices in control panel.

(IMG:http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/6628/sata.jpg)

Is it possible that I'm just not being patient enough with the powering on and off, or is something incompatible?

have you tried JF for the benq
computer on plug in drive then run JF
is it stock or modified?
need to get it recognised and in vendor mode and ake sure you select right port and install portio driver for JF
i believe you should be okay with your setup as its Nforce
i personally use a via6421 sata card
i believe xp64 is good as long as its xp and net framework 2.0 installed never done with xp64 only 32

Seems as if Portio drivers do not work under xp64.

I then read that the portio drivers are not needed anymore?

The firmware is stock.

I'll just plug it in and run JF to see what happens.

Killer... blue screen about 5 seconds after I turned it on.

64 bit aint supported. Use a 32bit version on a memory stick or something.
