Trying To Get Computer To Recognize Hitachi
« on: April 30, 2009, 07:12:00 PM »

I have a hitachi v59 that I am trying to get jungleflasher to register. I have it plugged into the #1 sata port on my gigabyte ga-m55sli-4 board with nforce sata drivers. When I eject the drive and unplug the power cord to keep it open the xbox keeps flashing the center green light (is this normal?). I reboot my computer and the drive shows up there and in the bios but when I load up windows it doesn't show up anywhere (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Do I need to try it with a slax cd....if so where do I get a copy and do I burn it to a cd or dvd dl?

Read the jungleflasher tutorial. There is no mention of powering off your driv to flash in the tutorial, as if you uplug the power it goes back to normal orenation(not in mode (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Finally got it into mode b by using the slax cd. It was a process dumping and flashing the firmware but it finally worked. I went to test it, and my xbox 3 ringed on me after 3 hours of running fine (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) My xbox hates me!

It works wonderful now, I let it sit for a few minutes and it turned on and loaded up fine. I was able to play my star ocean backup with no problems.
