Well you must be flashing it right. It would not play anything at all if you messed up any part of the flashing.

The only thing it could be is your burned copy. Either you burned it wrong or your burn quality is poor.

What you should be doing is trying your copy on another modded xbox or if you have any friends/family with a modded box see if you can borrow a copy that is verified 100% working.

FYI - You should never post your unique drive key in a open forum. Microsoft now knows exactly who to ban smile.gif Also learn how to crop. We didn't need to see your whole desktop. Pictures should be kept to about 500 pixels wide.

maybe the lens power is too low for reading backups, a friend of mine bought a xbox arcade  with a liteon brand new and it wont read backups neither, i have a few extra liteons dvdrom took one flashit with his cfw and it work like a charmed, then ordered a replacement lens for that dvdrom and i useit on my bros xbox which his  sammy was dying and it works with the new lens. so by my experience its the lens

haha that would be VERY inconvenient for whoever I have.
I've modded a lot of lite-ons in the past though and never had this experience, and this is a July,2008 one.. so one of the newest. (i'd assume..)
I sure hope that's not the real problem, but thanks a lot for giving me a possible fix idea.

I'm the one who taught him the OP a lot about modding, and I myself have done about 50-75 Lite-On drives, and NONE of them had this issue.....

dunno, but it stumped me sad.gif

I tried my whole case of games that work on my BenQ thats flashed tongue.gif
So I don't think thats it.. what else could it be?

The lite-on and benq lasers are interchangeable.
You could try swapping lasers and see what happens.

The only thing that looks odd from your screen shot is it says LITE_CFW. Did you make the firmware yourself?

Jf normally loads the firmware automatically form the JF/Firmware folder that should say ix151-liteon.

If you made the firmware maybe it is just your orig firmware saying its LITE_CFW but infact is not. Try flashing again using the ix151 firmware pack or final from xbins.

Sounds like you still have orig firmmware to me.

I tried flashing directly from dummy.bin, the LITE_CFW is just the file that i saved once i did the actual flashing. In other words, this is what I flashed on to the drive.
I also tried this in dosflash, and this is what I usually do to lite-ons (i've done about 10 others this way, no probs at all) and none have ever acted like this.

Lol looks like i'm just unlucky I guess. I could try doing it again today maybe it'll decide to work for some reason, but its a royal pain in the ass if you ask me. No other 360 has ever given me any problems like this, not even a Hitachi tongue.gif

Are you using memorex?  I suggest only using verbatim.  Memorex are crap and some 360 drives have problems reading them.  I suggest not using memorex or cheap media.  Will screw your drive in the end, you get what you pay for type deal.  Buy 50 verbs at sams club for $55.

I get this all the time but the thing is, I tested my games that work perfectly fine in my own xbox 360, so I don't see how they couldn't work in this 360?
And it makes noises as if its gonna start reading then says eject tray, but if i put in a real game, it'll make the noises and then actually run the game.

I gave up on this unit though. I gave it back to the guy and refunded him and told him that his laser wasn't powerful enough to read the burned games (as someone earlier suggested) and told him he could get a new one then I could try again.

Seems to be a common issue.....

http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=673673

I sent a few drives off previously to someone and they all suffered a similar fate, Can I ask if you pushed the tray inwards when powered at all?
