My benq is flashed with 1.4 when the new Left 4 Dead patch came out i inserted my disc and dl the new update afterwards L4D would crash on the loading screen. So I tried Nazi Zombie I get an error message saying disc is unreadble and it may need cleaning tried with different other back ups nada... so i inserted my Dead Rising Original copy surprise surprise it works. Tried my Vegas 2 original copy works also. I had Gears of War installed in my harddrive for awhile so i inserted the disc for it GOW *Backup Disc* worked... I can upload a video also if you guys don't believe me something fishy is going on here.

what left 4 dead patch are you talking about
reflash to new ixtreme 1.5.1 firmware and instal NXE update and try that
if all fails test your games with ABGX to see if they fail or not
you could reformat your harddrive then update your firmware as i said above

same thing happend here. only thing working is my RE5 which was installed to HD, i just replaced my failing hitachi a few days theres no way its my new drive, sammy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ALL my backups dont even start to load "dirty disc" and soon as put them in

There is every chance your "new" sammy drive laser is dying. I dont think these drive vendors sell these drives to anyone but microsoft, so your "new" sammy is probably one that stopped workin and has been refurbished (pot tweaked right down to below modas recomended 2.8 minimum) Yes it works but only long enough for you to leave feedback on ebay.

I agree 100% with what your saying as a possibility however, this literally happended after downloading the new left for dead addon pack, the discs dont even spin up, i put my semi working hitachi back and its still the same. ALL backups no longer boot this is fucked up. i will be checking the pot on my sammy later (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Something of note is that you both have games saved on your hard drive (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Have you tried booting a backup without the hard drive attached (I know im clutching at straws here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ) I would think that either the hitachi or the sammy or both would be the drive that C4E was talking about when he said not all drive support the new checks, if and when they are implemented.

Hey I got my xbox to work Glent1234 just go to Memory>HD>press Y then enter this code X-X-LB-RB-X-X that should clear your cache of all saved game updates and we can play back ups again =D take care brother
