Current Method For Unlocking Benq?

Hi all.  6 months ago I modded my 360's Samsung drive for the first time with iXtreme 1.4, using iPrep and mtkflash.  I was just able to use Frosty's 360 modification disc 1.53 to update to iXtreme 1.5.  Though it took me a while because the firmware would never dump, I finally put the 0800 disc in the drive and the drive dumped and flashed right away.

I'm trying to mod another 360 with a Benq drive for the first time.  Currently what is the best method for unlocking the drive so that the 360 modification disc can dump and flash the firmware?  I've heard something about ejecting the tray half way but so far I've been unable to get the modification disc 1.53 to flash the Benq.  Do I have to solder a switch onto the motherboard like it says in textbook's tutorial?

I always use a desktop that has a motherboard with integrated SATA, Sis 964 chipset.
