Lost 360 Orig.bin File!1! For Benq!~
« on: April 13, 2009, 01:32:00 PM »

I tried flashing my xbox stock to IXTREME 1.51
and the jungleflasher froze on me. i seemed to have saved
the Benq_CFW.bin, BENQ-OFW.bin and Key.bin
i was wondering if there was any way to save my xbox

yes, use the ben_cfw (check the key as source firmware in jungle flasher to make sure it looks legit... should be a bunch of random numbers and letters, little or no repeats at all) and make a bootable usb drive (hp boot disc utility works good for this, tutorial here), download dosflash 1.7 and place the dosflash16.exe and dosflash16.typ files on the usb stick as well as the ben_cfw file.  boot computer to your usb drive in dos.  connect benq and power on.  type in dosflash.  select correct port.  type w for write.  type ben_cfw.bin and hit enter.  should write and be complete within 30 seconds.  you are done.

yes you need the windows 98 boot files just to make the usb drive bootable, that is all (it doesnt install 98 to your pc or anything)

You get your PC into DOS with that Bootable USB stick you made. Once you transfer all your dos files onto it, leave it plugged in and restart your PC. Upon reboot, go into your boot sequence and select your USB stick to boot from. Once in DOS, with your drive hooked up, type DOSFLASH (enter). It will scan your ports and you'll see what port you have to use. Just follow the onscreen instructions and you'll be ok.

try a different game maybe that game is dodgy burn
if not restore back to original put back together to make sure you can play originals
if that goes all good start all over again step by step flashing using dos if you feel better using that
P.S the way it is now does it play originals ?
if not i would say you didnt spoof the key into the target file(benqixtreme) when you used JF

First check your BENQ-OFW.bin file in jungle flasher put in source to make sure you have valid key
then click manual spoofing tab (in firmtool32 tab) load the key file you said you have and make sure the key matches in the source file and this key file
if thats all good thats your original file
just use dos as you did with the usb but put this file(BENQ-OFW.bin file on the stick and when it asks you hit the W and type this file name and that should restore back to original
to be sure put back together and test original games again
another option is to again make sure you have your BENQ-OFW.bin file with the valid key
load this into source of jungle flasher
add the 1.5.1benqixtreme into target
spoof to target should have your valid key now and save this file dont get it mixed up with your other one
then you add this file to your usb stick and use dos to flash like you did before
these are your options
I am only saying restore it back to original again as a precaution so that you know you can play originals and the box is working fine then its a matter of redoing it over again with the knowledge that you now have

PS I bet if you open the Benq-CFW.bin file in the source in JF the key shows all 7's
