Why not just play Godfather 2 from your original disk. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The 10 second trick does not work with every sata controller.

Try dosflash16 1.7b

Ok I have some new info. First of all what I was using to read the drives firmware before was iprep101 with the 1.51 ixdef installed ok so I make my bootable usb flash drive with the samsung ixtreme 1.51 firmware I have the via sata card full installed with .netframework 2.0 just in case somebody asks. I boot from the usb flash drive and when it get to the dos prompt I turn my xbox on waited 15 seconds. I then type in dSam 1234567 12345 pressed enter it had the pri ixtreme drive listed before I hit anything I power the unit down for 10 seconds and click on pri ixtreme after 10 seconds went by turned drive back on and it came up and said reading 4 times the last message it said has basically you have the firmware and your now ready to flash. Ok I have tried every possible combination with this drive to get it to fSam the firmware no go. Before I upgraded to the iprep 008 I went ahead plugged the usb flash drive in and backed up the backup folder now if I go to another computer that has jungle flash on it I have a samofw.bin file which I believe is 256 bytes then I have a samcfw.bin which is 0 bytes. So I read that I needed to use Iprep .008 when I tried to do the dSam 1234567 12345 but that didn't work it came up said no vaild version found in backups. Ok so I used jungle flasher to view the drive key on the first backup on samofw.bin and it has a vaild drive key I tried pulling up the samcfw.bin file and it says something like not a vaild bin file. So I'm stuck right now and don't know what to do next please help me thank you.

edit correct if I'm wrong but can't I just copy the key from samofw.bin over to samcfw.bin I guess the only problem I have is samofw.bin is 256 where as samcfw.bin is 0 bytes does anybody have a ixtreme 1.51 samcfw.bin file that I could use to include my drive key on please let me know thank you

i use the old version iprep101v006 no problem
i actually use a floppy to boot up but each to there own
providing it said key was copied success there shouldnt be a problem flashing
you have to power down drive and computer to flash again and follow the same procedure
hopefully you still have your boot drive in tact as to when you read as it would have created a hacked firmware and providing you did load the samsung ixtreme 1.5.1firmware when you formatted your usb drive in iprep
If you formatted your usb drive in iprep properly when you did the read and you got to the point where it copied key succes the hacked firmware would have been created right away and it will have the key and size of 256kb

apparently it didn't get that far i don't know if its because of the old iprep 101 but it did go through the dsam no problem but flashing I could get it to do that I think i know why now its because the samcfw.bin file was not complete anyway I backed everything up from iprep 101 I know i have iprep 008 and I tried to do the samofw.bin but that didn't work i was just looking at the flash drive and I have a samcfw.bin file which is 256bytes. If I loded that firmware up with jungle flasheror another problem to where I can copy the key from sam-ofw.bin and install that key on samcfw.bin do you think that would work and if so what program would I need. By the way i apperciate your help this problem is driving me nuts and I would love to get it fixed thank you

you can try it wont hurt
load your original firmware in the source and the 1.5.1 samsung ixtreme in target spoof to target and save the file
it would have saved the key automatically in the new 1.5.1 firmware
lets hope your key is valid
then click write
hope you know about vendor mode and sammy unlock

if and when its all done you can load either firmware in the source and click save key and it will save a bin file
make sure you keep this in a safe place

well theres another problem see jungle flasher will only work if I don't have my drive plugged in for some reason as soon as I plug my drive in with jungle flash with my via card my computer locks up and won't do anything. So what I was thinking my step exactly would be to open a program the I can use to change drive keys like for instance jungle flash load up sancfw.bin change the drive on there to the drive key on sam-ofw.bin which the drive key start with a ecc I bleieve so it looks like a valid drive key. then i would copy the sam-ofw.bin file rename to samofw.bin and also copy over samcfw.bin then go to the flashing procedures with iprep what do you think for some reason i have tried everything with jungle flasher and for somereason everytime it locks up wheter I'm using via card or onboard sata all the time locking up.
