Help Spoofing A Benq As A Hitachi
« on: April 04, 2009, 07:54:00 PM »

So my computer froze up as i was flashing a benq and it bricked. Lucky me, anyways i got the keys and eveything from it and a spare drive. I would prefer to use jungle flasher to spoof the spare hitachi as a benq to put it back in the concole.

How do I do it? lol help would be appriciated greatly. Just need to know which firmwares to use as original and which to use as the hacked and if i need to do anything special to spoof it or just click spoof.

Thanks a ton in advance

Benq has automatic flash recovery. Just reflash it with dosflash 1.7

If you cant fix the benq and really want to use a hitachi you can flash it with maximus toolbox. I really don't like jungle flasher. I feel lost in a jungle when i load it. I have been using max toolbox for years.

when i open up dosflash to reflash it i hhave the same problem with jungleflasher. The drive cant be read because it is bricked so it cant send the vendor intro. How do you flash with maximus toolbox?

I unbrick Samsung and benq without effort using dosflash32 and my Via6421. I actaully think it is easyier to flash a bricked drive then a working one. You should get some option to resend and just need to power the drive off and back on and be able to flash to it.

If you want to use max toolbox then there is tutorials everywhere. I am not posting a step by step tutorial in the Technical forum.

Google should help.

grab an mtkflash or whatever one is loaded in dos and has a single code for erase. iprep and such programs should auto erase it but when mine was "bricked" with a partial flash, using mtkflash's erase tool did a full erase, then I reloaded iprep on my thumbdrive and it worked first time.

your title is wrong too. It should be spoofing a hitachi as a benq. And, you're gonna have alot of trouble doing that. The hitachi drive is different. You would need a bit of luck to get things going. You might get bricked with Hitachi's. They don't recover well...at ALL. You have one shot ...and if you do it wrong. INSTANT BRICK.
