I'm trying to update my hitachi 79 from 1.5 to 1.51 ixtreme but after restoring the drive, jungleflasher can no longer detect it proply.
Everything was going fine following guide. I put my orig firmware in the jungleflasher firmware pack. loaded into jungleflasher and it detected my drive in the port property's on the left and detected it in the drive menu on the top right.
After using 79 unlock to put it into mode b and then following the rest of the guide it restored it fine.
I then went back into jungleflasher to flash it with ixtreme 1.51 and it detected my drive in the port propertys on the left but can't detect it in the drive menu on the right thus not letting me use 79 unlock to put it into mode b. keeps saying 79 unlock failed.

I know my drive has been restored fine because i put a back up game on after restore and it would'nt read and then i put an original game and dvd on and it read them fine.
just can't work out why it would detect drive on the drive menu before i restored but after restore it can't detect it.
Has anyone had the same prob and managed to sort it out?

try using the slax method to get it into mode b then use the 79 unlock audio cd in JF

Try using a different sata cable. This also happened to me before and I found out that there was something wrong with the sata cable.
