Sorry to make my first post a complaint but I have been trying for HOURS (seven) to flash this lite-on...

I'm using the CK3 Lite (COM port)

I extracted the keys just fine but when it comes to erasing in Jungle, I get this:

QUOTE
Sending Lite-On-Erase request to port 0xF800
Drive returned Status 0x51
........................................
Device Intro failed!

I've tried that dozens of times, also in B mode (blue). Tray open, closed, 1/2.....

SOooo then I tried to flash it in Dos. I made a bootaable USB with Iprep and loaded my files and IExtreme1.51 firmware.

When I type "L-O-ERAS.EXE FFE0"   all I get is status "FFFF"

I've also tried this many times, maybe there is a secret I don't know about?

CHEERS to ANYONE who can help me, I'll make it worth your time!

Try turning the drive off in dosflash after you get the first FFFF and then turn it back on and run the command again... this works for me when I continually get FF80 (BTW the F3 button in DOS pastes the previously typed command so you don't have to keep typing L-O-Eras XXXX)

I just finished trying that, no luck  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I've moved the on-board SATA around a couple of times...seems no to help

In iPrep, it says my primary port is FFE0

God this sucks.....

If you have another computer available try erasing and flashing on it.

I had problems with my on board SATA too. I would just get a Via card. I use that for DOS and have no issues.

360 guy is right, instead of hoping that your chipset works or trying to figure out how to make it work, just get a VT6421 card for $15 shipped online, much less of a headache and very useful in dos  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

IntelĀ® Desktop Board D101GGC Chipset

I can obviously dump the keys but cannot flash the drive.  I have no choice but to order more shit?!

Oh and in the meantime I actually got DosFlash32 to erase (or so it seemed)  but I can't get anything to write the firmware.
