hmmm here goes

i just flashed a new xbox with a lite on drive (it had never been flashed b4 so stock drive)

i used the new jungle flasher to grab the key as i have done many a time b4, but as this is he first time i have use the new lite on todo a drive from fresh.... i xtracted the key but only got dummy.bin i saved this then it asked me do i want to load the 1.5.1 firmware so i said yes, i then spoofed drive to target then save the custom firmware.......

now i flash my drives in dosflash

so l-o-eras ec00

dosflash

liteon e

erasing......

then i write my custom firmware no problems

once finished i can open closo drive with my connectivity kits, put it back together now i can play any games original or backup!!!!

did i go wrong with the dummy.bin or have i killed the drive

if i have killed the drive then this is a expensive leason, and i think that jungleflasher should incorperate some kinda saftey measures to stop this happening in the future (IMG:style_emoticons/default/uhh.gif)

did it tell you if the key looked good or was valid? what version JF did you use? have you tried reflashing?

It has got safety measures built in but you did not use jungleflasher to flash your drive , you choose  to switch to dos and use dosflash you should have let jungleflasher complete the whole process thats what it was designed to do, not half a job, use jungleflasher properly then it wouldnt happen.

This is the same thing i do since JF has hard time erasing LiteON's i use it to extract key, and prepare hacked firmware, the use DOS to flash. works all the time.

NOTE: I always make sure  it says the key is valid, and extract it several times before erasing, and flashing.

key looked good so am really stumped I saved key.bin before I spoofed to drive..... Really ain't sure if I gave screwed my box up, I have done every box with dosflash no problems.

@chorizo1 look everyone has their way of doing things ,I am not saying whats right or wrong , I personally have never had a issue with jungleflasher, the point I was trying to make was if you are not using the application the way it was intended to be used , you have no right to complain about it if it didnt work thats all. kind regards

Sorted it guys.............. FACT u only need the dummy file, no need to grab all the others.

my problem was purely down to a bad flash, As for using DOS to write firmware i believe 100% thats this is the safest and fastest way to Flash lite on drives (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

thats why it took you 24hrs (fastest) bad flash (safest), jungleflasher for me Im afraid,top application.Can do a liteon in 3 minutes end of story.
