i accidently plugged in my connectivity kit in upside down while doing liteon drive. the drive still works perfectly but i cant retrieve the key getting bad key on dvdkey and bad serial on jungleflasher. does anyone have know which components are vulnerable to blow in this case there must be some form of protection for rom chip. any help appreciated.

your power traces are probably burned - better to get another connectivity kit than a new xbox

connectivity kit is fine tried it on another drive and it got the key no problem so its definitely the drive. and i dont need a new xbox as it still works fine.

What is your question?
1)if you can retrieve the key from another drive that means your kit is fine
2)if your drive is flashed but you cannot retrieve the key I think it how it is supposed to be, someone will correct me if I am wrong but once you go to 1.51 the probe method does not work anymore

did you flash the drive or does it still have OEM firmware on it?

the drive has oem firmware. still boots originals fine no ill effects on that score just cant retrieve key. just wondered if someone knew the components that protect the rom from incorrect polarity i am sure that is what is giving bad key or if not does anybody know the circuit and can point me in the right direction
