« on: March 18, 2009, 03:37:00 PM »

ok now let me get this cleared up.. i have a hitachi system that and i need my samsung drive to work on it so what i do is extract the hitachi's orig.bin on that end..
now i pull my samsung drive and and update to the latest ixtreme firmware (not dumping it on the drive) and then spoof that to work on my hitachi system?

1- get firmware from hitachi drive, get the key from it. You can use firmware toolbox 4.8(save it for the future!) Don't toss it. trust me.
2- get ix15, ix14 or whatever firmware and inject the key via firmware toolbox 4.8
3. Flash it onto your sammy drive.
Samsung drives have caused some problems for some people. You might try to use Frosty's 360 utility disc.

Use JungleFlasher. Load the original Hitachi firmware as source, load ix for samsung as target, click spoof source to target and voila. Very straight forward. You can then flash with junleflasher or save the target firmware and flash with the tool of your choice.

sammys are very hard to brick... you may have done something wrong, but most likely you can recover the sammy drive

wow thanks i didn't think it was that easy!! the only way i could access the drive was with iprep008 to flash.. because of bad firmware it would freeze up in windows.. so i renamed my spoofed firmware samcfw.bin and i was good to go.. thanks guys your help and the simple answer lebthug!
