Should I Swap An Ms28 For An Ms25?
« on: March 14, 2009, 11:18:00 AM »

My MS28 is about 2 years old now. I have the system on its side and lately when I eject a disc, its spinning all nasty and making scratching sounds.
My friend gave me his 360 that he redringed and then broke trying to do an xclamp fix. His is an MS25.
I have the orig.bins for both drives.
His was a launch system. Am I better off sticking with the ms28 or go for the older drive which didnt have any problems that Im aware of ?
Also how complicated would it be to swap them?

just swap the pcb from the drives and try it out. no reflashing required! it is a simple job and you can always go back...
