Can't Locate Original Firmware

I've been spending the last few hours checking all my backup discs, computer and even USB drives. I cannot locate my original firmware for my DVD-Rom. If I understood correctly from other posts/explanations is that you needed the original firmware, flash it back to the DVD-ROM, then proceed to upgrade to a new iXtreme Flash Firmware.

If that is correct, is there anything I can do to upgrade to the new IX 1.51?

Right now it has the 1.4 FW and works without a single problem.

so for hitachi you need the orig bin
could you use another hitachi bin file and change the key for it
would that work
