I am trying to get my 0079fl from 1.4 to 1.5.1. Pc with XP and Via 6421l card, Via drivers removed and PortIO installed.

I followed the tutorial and both the Mode-B and 0079 unlock work so I dumped the drive.. FW is ok and spoofed to the target 1.5.1.

Any idea why the Flash stability test fails?

maybe because the restore firmware orig79-4c30.bin is a virgin firmware with no dvd key 000000000000000 replace this with a copy of your original firmware then rename it as that file, or open the virgin firmware with toolbox and put in your key.Maybe I am wrong but looks like thats whats going on in the log,only ever flashed stock hitachis never ones that have already been flashed I believe they are restored to stock first then flashed again this is a safer way.

I will try first thing tomorrow... but I have some doubt, the htiachi rfestore does not flash the dvdkey sectors ofcourse, so the FW being a virging file should not be a problem. Jungleflasher selects it by itself.. you dont have the option to choose a different FW.
