IXtreme 1.51 and Jungleflasher 1.51

Way too easy this time around. Used jungleflasher to spoof the liteon 1.51 fw. copied to flash drive along with dosflash and l-o-eras. connected to pc using diygadget's power adapter. Ran l-o-eras sataport, got status ff72. rebooted pc with dvd power off. ran dosflash, selected spoofed fw and done. All in all took 10 minutes from disassembly to assembly. tested with mlb 2k9 and works great!

I have 2 0079's I cannot seem to restore with this version.  I get it unlocked/modeb etc, but when I try to restore it gives me an error.  %^^&%&*

Also, with Samsung drives it is randomly giving write errors, but after a few tries it works.  Perhaps it is the via card I am using, but I never had issues with other drives before.  Will report back once more Hitachi's are tested.

Lots of people are having trouble with VIA chipsets. You may not be able to use JungleFlasher.

Hmmm... looks like I'll be another one waiting for Firmware Toolbox to be updated before doing Hitachis, then.  Can't test my own batch files (see links in sig) until next weekend, but foresee no problem flashing/reflashing 1.51 using them.

Oh, and before anybody asks:-

the files are IDENTICAL so download one or the other.  Don't hammer an already busy Xbins server by grabbing both.

See LiteOn batch files in links below.  Firmware file will need to be renamed to IX151LIT.BIN and the appropriate lines in LITREAD.BAT and LITREMOD.BAT changed.  The bits that need changing are clearly marked in the batch files. Same goes for Samsung (IX151SAM.BIN, SAMREAD.BAT, SAMREMOD.BAT) and BenQ (IX151BEN.BIN, BENREAD.BAT, BENREMOD.BAT) batch files.

For some reason, whenever i start up and then shut down jungle flasher, it screws up my internet connection and i have to restart my PC in order to get it working again.

you can easily update the hitachi to the new firmware using 360 toolbox  (im assuming its in modeb already):

1.   Use Toobox to Recover Original Firmware if you dont already have it (its under tools->Recover Original Firmware)

2.  Read the tutorial that comes with the Toolbox on how to flash the original bin to the hitachi.

3.  Open up original firmware, copy the key from it.

4.  Open the new Xtreme 1.5.1 firmware that you want to flash (make sure its the right version for your drive) in the Toolbox.

5. Paste the key in and click save key.  Also apply any spoofs you need here as well.

6.  a)Choose "Tools->Direct Drive Flash->Differential Flash Patch".
b)Make sure the Hitachi drive you want to flash is selected
c)Click the "Read Drive and Detect Differences" button, after a few seconds the sectors list below the button should be populated.
     d) It will now ask you if you would like to keep the keys from the drive.. Choose 'Yes' since were not changing drives
     e) Click the "Start Flashing" button and choose the flash mode.. I suggest using the 0047 flasher for 47 drives etc etc..

Did this on my hitachi 59 that was spoofed to a Samsung ms28.  Worked perfectly.  Not sure how much the steps will vary on a 79.  I couldnt get JungleFlasher to work, it just kept freezing my PC when trying to read the firmware off the drive.

I can't increase the size of jungle flashers window, a bunch of the options are cut off.  I think i remember a fix stated, anyone remember.  Anyway I still had my dummy.bin from my last flash so I just used firmtool to insert my key/serial into 1.51 and used good old lite-on-erase/dosflash to flash.  Worked like a charm.  No need to redump key at all serial/SATA if you kept it like you should.

Upgrade Successful!

Flashed a BenQ with 1.51 using VIA chipset in Windows XP.

Original Firmware: 1.41

H.A.W.X. works fine.

Downloaded JungleFlasher 1.51beta and IXtreme 1.51

Followed Tutorial, only issue was the drive did not cycle after I turned it back into vendor mode, had to manual power on to verify FW upgrade but no biggie.

So the basics........
Plug in BenQ drive to PC with 360 as power, PC on, then 360 on.  Started JungleFlasher, put in vendor mode, read existing 1.41 FW, JungleFlasher did all the work picked out the key and made the FW, wrote FW, closed drive....game over....win for all.

Guys with this firmware out and support for the Wave3, wouldnt we need a new version of abgx360 to check the files properly? Is there any news on that?

TEAM JUNGLE Presents IXtreme 1.51 firmware for all drives & JungleFlasher

IXtreme 1.51 Features:
Wave X support
Support of future Waves of X360 game disc structures. New partition sizes and video data will be automatically supported and will be allowed to boot.
This represents a possibility of booting a bad backup but now that there is some good tools out there (like abgx360) to check your backups before you boot them, the risk is small.

So please check your backups to ensure consistency with the original!

So, the "fully stealth" check was removed? How to make sure that you have a fully stealth backup? Only if programs such as ABGX 0.9.4 confirms your backup consistency with the ONLINE database? How about OFFLINE consistency, still valid?

I am confused now  uhh.gif    blink.gif    dry.gif    sleep.gif
