There is a link to a tutorial in Jungleflasher. I followed it to update my Lite-On this morning, and it works flawlessly.

Just wondering since I prefer flashing from DOS using DOSFLASH...
Just using the old firmtool to copy  al info into the net ix151.bin and then flash it using DOS..

Will that also work?

Or is it required to use JungleFlasher?

Yes.  If you use my batch files (yeah I know, another shameless plug, but see links in my sig) then LITREMOD.BAT will create you a fresh LHACKED.BIN using iXtreme plus your key files (using FirmTool to do it) and LITHACK.BAT will flash it.

If you didn't use them in the first place but you want to use them now, run MAKEFOLD followed by your serial number (e.g. MAKEFOLD 1234567 12345), put your key files into the resulting BACKUPS\5digit\7digit folder and run LITREMOD followed by your serial number.  If all goes well you'll get a nice green message from FirmTool and a nice new LHACKED.BIN ready to flash.

I didn“t find the tutorial! Can you post the link please??

One more question? Do I really need the original firmware to update through the SATA cable?

I can't increase the size of jungle flashers window either, a chunck of the bottom window is cut off. Anyone knows a workaround to this? Its really hard to use this program when you cant see what the program is doing. Tried searching the forums but cant seem to find anything.

That info is very useful! Thanks!

Also, do you need a VIA SATA chipset or will any brand work?

Use the 1.51 Ixtreme, read key with xtractor 360, use firmtool to copy over the information

and then flash from DOS using DOSFLASH

Just did it on a new xbox and it works fine..

No if your having problems with drivers etc in Windows with JungleFlasher.. just jump to DOS smile.gif

Ok, I was just reading the JungleFlasher Tutorial for the Lite-On.  It talks about manually opening the drive even if you have the CK3 pro tool.

Would it not be easier to hook up the Lite-On to the CK3, hit the eject button, power off the drive using the CK3, slide the tray half way in, then power up the Lite-On using the CK3 again, like we used to do?

If it would work (going to try it once myself on a spare Lite-On) it would save the step of opening up the Lite-On if it is already flashed, correct?
