i currently have an xbox 360 with hitachi 47 drive in it, i flashed it with ixtreme 1.4 said it worked 100%

dont have a 360 game to test it on so thought i would try an original xbox backup, i got Black and put it in the drive... but done what it always done... came up with an error...

does 1.4 support original xbox games?

or have i done something wrong?

do you have the HDD connected with the latest BC update?

i flashed it with 2.4 extreme firmware but restored it after i relasied it was an old verson, i then flashed ixtreme 1.4 and rebuilt machine

it downloaded some update from xbox live so im assuming its latest version and hdd is plugged in.

when i booted up machine (offline) it done some kind of system update as soon as i switched it on but not sure what it was

could it be a bad copy of black? it plays on my modded normal xbox

If it is a backup, it needs to be properly made, and patched to a DL DVD, just like a 360 backup needs to be.

ah right!!! i thought it would just run on a dvd-r like they do on a normal xbox!

what is the better firmware? xtreme 2.4 or ixtreme 1.4?

no dvdr games run on the 360 even when its a xbox one game it has to be burnt to dvdl disc to run!
but you can use some orignail xbox one games

original xbox games are so cheap from gamestop it almost doesn't make sense wasting precious dual layers.
I hope this 1.51 fw comes out soon for the beloved hitachi 47...
I just cracked open a case yesterday to mod when I read about this news...

only wanted to know if it had worked, wont play xbox games on! have ordered a backup of gears of war 2 so will let you know how it goes...
