Im guessing you would have to do inject your Original inquiry, key and identify files into this new 1.51, and then just flash it basically the only step you would be bypassing is getting the key again with ck3 or whatever you used, everything else would remain the same.

i got a lite-on running on 1.5. will it be possible to read the drives firmware and get the key from that firmware, then put the key into 1.51 when its out as i aint got a backup? and flash it back

if your lite-on is already flashed, that means the Key was already read and injected into the firmware that was flashed onto the lite-on... so you already have the key.  so you dont need to Read the firmware again, all u need to do is extract That key from your bin and inject it into the new 1.51 or 1.6 fw.  easy cheesy.

Copy paste from the net.I dont know if the info really comes from c4eva!
<c4eva> ix1.51 for sammy, benq, liteon under going initial testing, full wave 3 support!

<c4eva> was quicker to do 1.51 now, then a 1.6 after this, to get the games booting again on ix!

<c4eva> working on hitachi ix1.51 now, end of week hopefully!

Looks like a lot of us will be waiting for 1.51 to boot some of these new games....not 1.6 for now

Could someone explain the point of 1.6 if 1.51 fixes the problem?

Started modding locally.

I have a customer who needs his MS25 replaced, and modded. Should I wait for this IX 1.51, and IX 1.6?

Also I need to mod my MS28, as I got banned on my old console. (Was planning on doing it today, until I heard this).

Should I also wait?

Its sound like now 1.5.1 will fix the 3rd wave problem...... 1.6 will add the 0800 dumping for all drives

I don't believe so. I believe you just have to erase, and then flash the new firmware after you've included the Inquiry, Key, and Identify have been inserted if you have a Lite-On.

I could be wrong though.
Yeah, I'm assuming you can just reget the key the normal way as you usually do. There should be no problem in that.

so if u hav'nt got the inquiry, identity, key or dummy then u can just use the ck3 probe on the r707 point in the flashed liteon drive to retrieve them again?

Yes, you would have to do the process all over again instead of just a simple connecting and then erasing and writing.

the ability to use your 360 drive connected to your computer to rip games instead of having to have a "kreon" drive.
