This seriously sucks!! ive been waiting for H.A.W.X since it was announced.. and even more sucky is that i only have a laptop... so i cant bloody flash my dvd drive when the 1.6 comes out anyway.. unless any1 knows of a way to flash the dvd drive with a laptop??

I have no idea if this actually would work or not. I doubt that it would, personally, but.... There are Expresscard SATA controller cards as seen here:  http://www.newegg.co...N82E16839200006

Maybe there's one that uses a Via chipset?  No idea.

Apparently these do work.. but my laptop doesnt have the slot to put that card into..

Hi I've got an old IX 1.2 firmware, however I've already been banned. My question is if I inject an old video partition, may I boot the game WITHOUT flashing a non stealth fw?

Why take that risk?

Why not just flash it tot the non stealth and know for sure it will work...

Because I'm already banned, I only care the game to boot. The fact is, I've never opened an xbox 360, and I don't know how to flash a dvd drive. I don't think it's easy like connect it to a sata port and run the program to send the new firmware....

<c4eva> was quicker to do 1.51 now, then a 1.6 after this, to get the games booting again on ix!

+ 1: And as for this not being front page news, I think its a good idea to keep it that way. Otherwise we will get a billion newb posts asking when the fix will be released. This way seems to be working good.

Surely you of all people could figure this out. If you have your key, dummy etc, you will not need to extract the key again. Simply create a new CFW, erase the old and flash the new. The previous 4 pages do mention this a couple of times.

Im guessing you would have to do inject your Original inquiry,key and identify files into this new 1.51, and then just flash it basically the only step you would be bypassing is getting the key again with ck3 or whatever you used, everything else would remain the same.
