Yes, I believe that the 1.51 will be here by the end of the week, followed by 1.6 being worked on after.

1.51 is what some new games are going to need.

As for the 0800. I cannot wait for that because I do not have a kreon drive.

I think the last thing I read said that 1.51 was being worked on for all drives, followed by 1.6, so I assume that meant Hitachi drives as well.

I thought at first they were going to make 1.5 for Hitachi, but then went ahead and went for 1.51 for all drives since it would be easy but I'm not sure.

Yep, I'm guessing it's the new "wave". Wave #3 has been released. I'm speculating that all newer releases will have this #3 wave as an implement.

Actually RE5 is ok. must have *just* missed the new disk structure when it went gold.

IF live is no issue to anyone by the way (sorry if this has been covered already) you CAN patch any of these games to run in IX1.5,

but i wouldnt be fancying my chances on xbox live afterwards to be honest.

Also, and please do not shoot me for asking this,

I have been reading the guides at the top, and i cannot see any for the new lite on drives (am i blind?)

i am guessing there is going to be a flood of people who are fairly new to modding, who perhaps paid to have their liteon done, but now have their serial/key supplied to them (but no other hardware).

If anyone makes guide to cover this supposedly simple procedure will it be posted in the faq at the top, or has that pretty much been given up on now?

0800 gives the ability to rip your own games.  correct?

Is this available for old Hitachi Drives?   I have one sitting around.
Is this coming for Lite-On?

I'm hoping that someone can provide a little clarification for me on this. I bought a pre-flashed Xbox 360. It's a Benq drive and it has iXtreme 1.5. I was not provided the key nor the original firmware. But, if I am understanding this correctly, I can follow a tutorial and extract the ix1.5 firmware that is currently on my 360, which will contain my key, and then use that to create the new ix1.51 firmware when it is released? Which program can be used extract the key from the firmware?

thats great. was getting a little worried coz i got 2 flashed 360s with liteon but inquiriy etc get deleted from my comp when it forze on me and had to recover it back 2 factory settings
