damn you guys are insane!!

I went through 18 pages of banter over speculation of iXtreme 1.6

I never saw 1.5 iXtreme for Hitachi released and there's word that a
1.51 is coming..

Hell I hope it's worthwhile... It was December when 1.5 iXtreme was
released for Benq, Lite-on, and Samsung.

Nearly 3 months later and Hitachi is lagging that far behind..

I hope whatever is in 1.6 fixes the major Hitachi bugs with dirty discs
errors or other BS problems..

some do..some don't.. sometimes you get a good Hitachi that behaves, others don't.. Seems to be mostly 78-79 series that I've dealt with..

Just as toddler has asked in the previous page, I too am wondering about what is ment about the features in 1.6 fw. If I understand what is being stated here, I am assuming that the 1.6 will also contain 0800, meaning that the drive can be used for ripping and playing without having to be reflashed back and forth.

Is this correct or not?

Well looking close now, c4eva has said that the package is all finished and ready to go. It includes the new version of Jungleflasher as well which now supports all drives. He has also said that 1.51 is will also be future proof for new waves so this situation shouldn't happen again, although he did say there's also the possibility of booting bad rips, but with the current PC tools available you should pick that up before even burning the game
